Mitsubishi Materials will be presenting two new ball nose end mills at EMO.
The newly developed VFR2SB has been specially developed for roughing and pre-finishing applications using high hardness materials. Its optimized geometry with the S-shape flute design, combined with the new Impact Miracle Revolution multi-layer PVD coating, reportedly makes it ideal for milling extremely hard materials up to 70 HRC. The second end mill, VFR2SBF, is seen as ideal for mirror finishing applications. This new end mill has a special radius geometry that can produce much better surface finishes than conventional end mills when machining high hardness steels. This next-generation end mill also benefits from the company’s latest coating technology.
