The attractively priced SCHUNK pull-down jaw SNB promises high accuracy on the workpiece, minimal cleaning effort and a longer service life. Unlike previous chuck jaw systems on the market with active pull-down function, the SCHUNK SNB is built in one piece. This ensures a particularly precise workpiece support, a repeatable zero point independent of the clamping force present, increased stability when machining as well as minimal wear.
In particular for long workpieces, it pays off to have the active pull-down function for increased accuracy on the workpiece. Tests at the SCHUNK competence center for clamping technology in Lauffen show that more than 50,000 clamping cycles are possible with the very same chuck jaw. The smart design also prevents the accumulation of chips and stops dirt settling.
In the first stage, the SCHUNK pull-down jaw is available for rough part machining on lathe chucks and chucks for stationary applications. Other versions for finished part clamping are already planned. It is offered as a straight serrated standard jaw (among others) for lathe chucks in sizes 200, 250/260, and 315. Moreover, the active pull-down function can optionally be realized with numerous SCHUNK standard jaws.
