OMAX Presents Waterjet Cutting Versatility and Precision to EuroBLECH 2018

At EuroBLECH 2018 Hannover, OMAX® Corporation will present its OMAX 55100 JetMachining® Center with a Tilt-A-Jet®, MAXIEM® 1530 with an A-Jet®, and the new ProtoMAX®. With a variety of products on display, visitors to the OMAX booth (Hall 12 / Stand H80) will experience both versatility and high precision proving there is a waterjet for every level of manufacturing.

The OMAX 55100’s Tilt-A-Jet cutting head demonstrates how OMAX machines achieve taper-free cutting without slowing down cutting speed. The Tilt-A-Jet positions the nozzle at a precise angle calculated by the industry-leading Intelli-MAX® software to exactly offset the natural taper from the abrasive jet. Taper doesn’t disappear. It is moved to the scrap part of the material, leaving your part with square, taper-free edges.

The MAXIEM 1530’s A-Jet is a next-level cutting head, proficient at cutting beveled edges, angled sides, as well as creating complex 3D shapes. The A-Jet is a completely software-controlled multi-axis cutting head that greatly increases the versatility of the OMAX JetMachining Center. With its integral high level of positioning accuracy, the A-Jet is adept of cutting parts that require no secondary finishing, significantly reducing part production time.

Energy-effective direct drive pumps will power both large machines at EuroBLECH: A 50 HP EnduroMAX® on the 55100 and a 40 HP pump on the 1530. OMAX direct drive pumps uses less electricity and less water, while also reducing component fatigue. The pumps do this while also running quietly and cleanly, making it the ideal solution for shops that want to do more with less.

In addition to the industrial OMAX and Maxiem machines, OMAX will demonstrate their new ProtoMAX personal abrasive waterjet system. ProtoMAX is a compact, self-contained cutting system ideally suited for prototyping and low-volume cutting of almost any material approximately 1″ thick. Brings all the versatility benefits of large abrasive waterjet cutters together in a sleek and economic package, this machine is perfect for small job shops, engineering classrooms, makerspaces and personal use. It is also a useful addition for large shops and fabricators that need occasional waterjet capabilities to complement their other cutting systems.

All the OMAX lines of abrasive waterjet can cut almost anything, including: aluminum, brass, bronze, carbon fiber composite, ceramic, copper, fiberglass, glass, granite, Kevlar, marble, stainless steel, titanium, tungsten and a lot more.

Experience OMAX’s easy-to-operate control software, Intelli-MAX. Intelli-MAX was engineered specifically for use with abrasive waterjets and no special machine code knowledge is required to use it. A person unfamiliar with CNC machine operation can learn to cut parts on an OMAX waterjet in just a few hours. Online training for machine operation and maintenance is provided free, so customers can access training information whenever they need it and at their own pace. In addition to being easy to use, Intelli-MAX software is compatible with more than 90 different file formats, including all major CAD program file types, plus graphics file formats such as .jpg, .gif, and .png files. This means almost any 2D or 3D part file can be imported directly into an OMAX waterjet controller and turned into a real part.

Through its distribution network of 30 partners worldwide, OMAX Corporation has expanded its global reach and increased the availability of its precision-engineered technology. INNOMAX AG is OMAX’s exclusive distribution partner for Germany and Austria will be at EuroBLECH to answer questions, to learn more about INNOMAX, please visit www.innomax-wasserstrahlschneiden.de. In addition there will be OMAX distributor partners from various countries.
